A little outside our immediate towns but a longtime family favorite worth the short drive: a destination playground built around a large wooden storybook castle, the kind of imaginative structure kids happily lose an afternoon in.

The covered sandbox is a thoughtful touch that keeps sand out of the sun, there's a picnic pavilion for snacks, and older siblings have a skate park nearby. Worth checking the current name and hours before you go, but a genuinely special spot for pretend play.
