What Makes Kindergarten Special
The Kindergarten classroom is a welcoming and supportive space that emphasizes responsibility, independence, and respect for others. Students develop reading fluency, mathematical reasoning, and writing skills while continuing to learn through inquiry, creativity, and hands-on experiences.

Kindergarten Curriculum
A comprehensive, hands-on approach to learning that sparks curiosity and builds confidence.
Language Arts
Focuses on phonemic awareness, phonics, sight words, and comprehension. Read-alouds cover fiction and nonfiction in various genres, building a strong foundation for lifelong reading.
Writing
Through writing workshops, students learn the full writing process: planning, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing. They progress from illustrations and labeling to writing narratives, how-to pieces, informational research, and opinion papers.
Math
Using Math in Focus and manipulatives, students learn numbers 1–20, addition, subtraction, numbers to 100, geometry (2D/3D shapes), and measurement/data (length, weight, sorting).
Social Studies
Lessons explore rules, the United States, communities, maps, countries, economics, cultures and celebrations, historical figures, families, and inventors. Students also participate in Social Emotional Learning and Growth Mindset activities.

Children must be 5 years old by September 1st of the enrollment year.
Is Kindergarten full-day?
Yes, Kindergarten is a full-day program running from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Extended Day is available until 6:00 PM.
