Fourth Grade Curriculum
A comprehensive, hands-on approach to learning that sparks curiosity and builds confidence.
Language Arts
Fourth graders grow as readers by exploring novels that help them practice comprehension strategies, figurative language, and character analysis. They become stronger writers through poetry, stories, persuasive pieces, and creative projects, moving from simple paragraphs to polished essays. We use novel studies, Sadlier Vocabulary and Grammar Workshops, and Fountas & Pinnell.
Math
With Math in Focus, students learn both the 'why' and 'how' of math. They practice problem-solving, explaining their thinking, and applying math skills to everyday life.
Social Studies
Students study U.S. geography, regions, culture, and economy. They explore heritage, immigration, and current events while learning what it means to be responsible citizens at school and in their communities.
